Kiwanis Division 9 Meeting -- April 2019

Our Florida Kiwanis Division 9 Meeting of April 2, 2019, was held in Astor Florida at the First Baptist Church with our gracious host being the Kiwanis Club of Astor. Astor’s guest speaker was Curtis Lucas of Pierson, a long-time resident, and native of the Northeast Lake County area who spoke on the need for continued community support and the necessity for volunteers providing face to face time with children and youth to make a difference in the lives. As Key Club Division 9 Lt. Governor Derek Nhieu prepares to turn over the reins to his successor, he provided the group a farewell overview of his heartfelt story about how he got involved in Key Club and his passion for helping others that were instilled in him from both of his parents at an early age.
